Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House Grows Spiritual Life

Community Endowment — Fiscal Year 2022

Grant to Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House for General Purposes

Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House Director Father Tom Lawler, S.J., writes,

“The Demontreville Jesuit Retreat House has been serving the Twin Cities region since 1948, offering weekend retreats for men based on the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius Loyola.  We do not charge a fee for attendance, but depend on good-will donations to cover weekly operating expenses.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, we saw a considerable loss of income due to the shutdown, and then slow return of people attending indoor events. We are still seeing these effects in 2022. We do not know what the future will be for retreat houses like this. But, we are grateful that CCF is aware of the important value of helping people grow in their spiritual life, especially during challenging times like these. We are very grateful for your gift.”
