$3,000 to Breckenridge Public Library for a Public Drinking Fountain

Detroit Lakes Library Director Pamela Westby writes,

“A sincere thank you to the Catholic Community Foundation for the grant to replace the public drinking fountain at the Breckenridge Public Library. Before receiving the grant, library visitors and staff had no access to fresh, clean drinking water while using the library facility. The grant from CCF covered all the expenses needed to replace the old/out of order fountain, including all the hardware and labor for a public water fountain with cooler and bottle filler options.

“The accessibility for library customers and staff has been a game changer! Breckenridge Branch Manager Kelsey Solberg, says, ‘People have been making use of it, and we have cups for people who may not have their own water bottle with them. It’s nice to have somewhere to direct people to when they ask about water now.’”
