We join our community in mourning the loss of Larry McGough, whose leadership helped build the Catholic Community Foundation from its earliest days.

Larry believed in the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota from the very beginning — long before many knew what a Catholic community foundation could be. As a founding board member and dedicated supporter over many years, he helped shape the vision, strengthen the mission, and guide the growth of CCF into what it is today.

His commitment to thoughtful, faith-driven philanthropy is reflected in the very spirit of our work. Larry was a champion of CCF’s unrestricted giving through what is now known as the Salt & Light Fund. He recognized the importance of flexibility in meeting the changing needs of our Catholic community, now and in the future.

Those who had the privilege of working alongside Larry remember not only his leadership, but his deep conviction that generosity, guided by faith, can serve the Church in enduring ways. His belief in long-term impact and stewardship helped lay the groundwork for initiatives that will continue to benefit our community for generations.

We are profoundly grateful for Larry’s life, his leadership, and his lasting contributions to CCF. His legacy lives on through the Foundation and through the many individuals and ministries strengthened by his vision and generosity.

We ask you to join us in praying for Larry and for all who mourn his loss.
