Parish Net Zero Covenant Grants

$6,500 to pay for the Net Zero Pathway service

Faithful to Church teaching, the Parish Net Zero Covenant Grant Program is an initiative to help four parishes in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis reduce their energy consumption and discern pathways to reach net zero in carbon emissions. Leading by example, the Vatican is committed to reach net zero.

By pursuing net zero, parishes can:

  • Save money to more fully support mission and ministry.
  • Educate the faithful about why Catholic social teaching is essential to the Church’s mission.
  • Evangelize through prophetic action, especially to young people who care deeply about creation but are increasingly disaffiliated from the Church.
